Research

In Christian Doppler Laboratories, application-oriented basic research is pursued at a high level, and expert scientists cooperate with innovative companies.

The CD Laboratory for Cellulose High-Tech Materials investigates the properties and characterization as well as the sustainable production and (re)processing of materials based on cellulose in the sense of "green chemistry".

Position of the industry partners along the value chain of cellulose.

Network

Christian Doppler Laboratories are financed jointly by the public purse through the Christian Doppler Research Society and the participating companies. The most important public sponsor is the Federal Ministry for Labour and Economy (BMAW). CD Laboratories offer the industrial partners the opportunity for long-term, application-oriented basic research.

The combination of research and PhD education, facilitated by the linkage to the doctoral school ABC&M, ensures the availability of future experts and long-term continuity in research.
