The advanced training can be credited within the framework of the Basiszertifikat Hochschullehre - Basic Didactics Certificate (*BZH) for MODUL 3 "Didactics Key Areas".

Objectives:

This two–half day workshop with a guided transfer phase supports university teachers in developing a teaching portfolio that shows the quality, scope and impact of their teaching. participants explore the purpose and structure of a teaching portfolio and engage in guided reflection on their role, values, and teaching philosophy. There is a transfer phase where participants draft core portfolio sections (teaching philosophy, course design practice and teaching development), furthermore participants engage in structured peer and expert feedback to refine content and strengthen the alignment between philosophy and practice.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have a solid draft of a coherent teaching portfolio.
 

Content:

Identify the key components and purposes of an academic teaching portfolio
Write a clear teaching philosophy and align it with the teaching practices
Choose and arrange examples (syllabi, assignments, student comments, peer reviews) that show the teaching works
Draft a coherent teaching portfolio

This training takes place online via ZOOM.

DI Dr. Dominik Ruffeis

is an alumnus of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), and has served for the past eight years as a full-time trainer and coach in higher education at the Teaching Academy of Graz University of Technology. Building on an academic trajectory at BOKU that included substantial international experience, he has oriented his professional practice toward the scholarship of teaching and learning, with a particular emphasis on enhancing the quality of university instruction through evidence-informed training and coaching.
