In his PhD project, Mislav is working on the case study of the industrialization of forests in the Steyr region during the 18th and 19th centuries as a part of the INFEST project (The Industrialization of Austria's Forests 1766-1914). The main focus of his research are the social practices revolving around the removal of traditional forest rights and social dynamics that have occurred in these practices. His research interests include the environmental history of forests, as well as the early modern and modern era forestry and agriculture in the territory of the former Habsburg Monarchy.
