Science Meets Art is an association that acts as a link between scientists and artists who are interested in the same topics and want to collaborate on projects with public reach.

We also want to create an active network that connects scientists and artists digitally, but also in the “real” world. We organize public events where initial contacts are made and project results are presented to the public.

SOHO in Ottakring is an art project and festival in urban space that emerged in 1999 from an artists' initiative. Until 2012, it extended across the Brunnenviertel district of Ottakring, Vienna's 16th district, and since 2013 has placed a new focus on the Sandleiten area on the northwestern edge of Ottakring.

In its ongoing work, SOHO in Ottakring focuses on questions of participation and co-determination in public life, aspects of urbanity and district development, and opportunities for participation in the local environment through artistic interventions and processual collaborative work.

SOHO STUDIOS is a place where local cultural offerings and workshops for artists come together. Since 2013, the team of the supporting association Soho in Ottakring has been responsible for the program design of SOHO STUDIOS. The artistic program always includes topics of diversity and gender sensitivity, ecology and sustainability, as well as mindful and democratic coexistence.

Collaboration and cooperation with artists at the national and international level, with various local groups and institutions, and the use of public space are essential features of SOHO in Ottakring.
