Pilot test with vertical moss walls
As part of the research project ‘MossDule: Development of an optimized, moss-based biotech filter facade technology’, a pre-prototype for indoor use is being tested at BOKU University. For this purpose, a test stand was set up on the third floor of the Franz-Schwackhöfer-House. Its operation will now be monitored for three months, logging its functionality and performance, as well as maintenance requirements in terms of water consumption and manpower. The monitoring phase will show under which condition and effort vertical walls with mosses can be used sustainably as indoor biological particle matter filters.
