Microbial Production and Storage of Renewable Natural Gas in Exploited Reservoirs

Am 26. April wurde zum 13. Mal im Rahmen einer feierlichen Gala der Houskapreis der B&C Privatstiftung verliehen. Die B&C Stiftung fördert Projekte aus universitärer Forschung und klein- und mittelständischen Unternehmen. In beiden Kategorien werden der Houskapreis und ein Publikumspreis verliehen. 30 Projekte erfüllten die Einreichkriterien für den hochdotierten Houskapreis. Ein renommierter Fachbeirat und eine hochkarätige Fachjury nominierten fünf dieser Projekte für den Forschungsförderungspreis, unter diesen auch das Projekt "Aufladbare Geobatterien zur Untertage-Sonnenspeicherung" der Universität für Bodenkultur, Wien. Im Rahmen der Preisverleihung wurde das Projektteam unter der Leitung von Andreas P. Loibner für seine Forschungsarbeit mit dem Publikumspreis in der Kategorie universitäre Forschung geehrt. english version: On April 26, the B&C Holding held a ceremonious gala at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna to award the prestigious Houska Prize and the Audience Prize in the categories “University Research” and “Research in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”. Two independent committees composed of various professionals and experts were tasked with the evaluation and selection of five projects from the initial 30 applications. They nominated the project "Rechargeable GeoBatteries - Microbial Production and Storage of Renewable Natural Gas in Exploited Reservoirs" realised by Andreas Paul Loibner and his associates for this coveted prize. Following the awarding of the Houska Prize, the audience elected its personal favourite and awarded the “Rechargeable GeoBatteries” project with the Audience Prize.
