LTS with Professor Sebastian Pfotenhauer

Professor Sebastian Pfotenhauer, Technical University Munich (TUM), will be giving a lecture on "Testing future Societies? Developing a framework for test beds and living labs as instruments of innovation governance" as part of the LunchTimeSeries on Law, Technology and Society (LTS). The lecture will take place at Guttenberghaus (Ground floor, meeting Seminar room SR 01) on 12 June 2019 from 12.00 - 1.30 pm. Thomas Rosenau to become Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC)

Thomas Rosenau, Institute for Chemistry of Renewable Resources, has been appointed Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the oldest international chemical society, for his work on the chemistry of lignocellulosic materials and the 1. prize of the International Green Chemistry Challenge 2018.

This year's dissertation award of the American Chemical Society, CELL division, was presented to Nele Zwirchmayr, Institute of Chemistry of Renewable Resources, for her work on formation mechanisms of chromophores in cellulose. The high-ranking award honors outstanding doctoral theses in the field of lignocellulose chemistry .

The festive promotion took place on May 3rd, within the framework of Aalborg University´s Annual Celebration 2019.

Visiting professor at the Institute for Biophysics (Department of Nanobiotechnology)

Dr. Habil. Reinhard Miller is the editor of the journal Advances in Colloid Interface Science (Elsevier) and has been President of the European Colloid and Interface Society (ECIS) and the International Association of Colloid & Interface Scientists (IACIS). He has a remarkable research record with ca. 640 SCI-papers, 50 book chapters, and more than 14000 citations (H-index: 55).
