The successful fire testing of the Biowall demonstrator was the result of extensive preparation and a remarkable team effort at the Institute of Green Civil Engineering (IGCE).

Before the specimens could be transported to the testing facility, several days of intensive laboratory work were required. The preparation process included material weighing, mixing, conditioning, compaction, specimen production, and quality control. During this phase, the laboratory temporarily transformed into a full-scale production environment.

What made this campaign particularly special was the broad support from across the institute. The preparation was not only carried out by the project team itself, but by colleagues from various research groups who contributed their time and expertise whenever support was needed. Whether assisting between meetings, helping with specimen production, or staying beyond regular working hours, many team members contributed to ensuring that the test specimens were completed on schedule.

Large-scale experimental research relies on collaboration. The successful completion of the Biowall fire tests demonstrates the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork and a shared commitment to advancing innovative and sustainable construction technologies.
